The National Research, Development and Innovation Fund is inviting applications to support Hungarian organisations participating in Horizon Europe European Partnership projects through national contribution funding.
The programme focuses on strengthening strategic cooperation among national organisations involved in European Partnership projects, enhancing international research and development cooperation experience, supporting stakeholder engagement, open science techniques, data management processes, and impact-oriented approaches, improving access to networking and capacity-building opportunities, and establishing future scientific and economic cooperation through international partnerships. The call supports projects related to biodiversity and ecosystem conservation under Biodiversa+, water safety research and innovation under Water4All, clean energy transition under CETP, and urban transformation under DUT.
The objective of the programme is to provide national contribution funding for Hungarian organisations successfully participating in joint international calls for proposals within European Partnerships supported by Horizon Europe. The initiative aims to strengthen Hungarian participation in international research and innovation collaborations while supporting knowledge exchange and cooperation in key technological and scientific fields.
The programme supports a wide range of beneficiary groups including institutions of higher education, budgetary research institutions, enterprise-based research organisations, enterprises, non-profit research organisations, other non-profit organisations, and the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network.
The total budget allocated for the call is HUF 1,809,180,000, and projects may have a duration of up to 36 months.
Eligible applicants include Hungarian members of consortia involved in joint international projects recommended for funding under the relevant European Partnership evaluation schemes, as well as Hungarian participants joining such consortia at a later stage. Applicants must be legal entities registered in Hungary or in the European Economic Area with a branch office in Hungary.
Eligible entities include businesses and non-profit companies maintaining double-entry accounting, denominational or private higher education institutions accredited by the state and recognised as research and knowledge-dissemination organisations, as well as budgetary organs and entities qualifying under the relevant EU regulations and organisational classifications.
