The Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects Program is now accepting grant applications to support research aimed at improving long-term health, functional outcomes, and community living for individuals affected by burn injuries.
The focus areas, of this program include improving long-term health and functional outcomes and enhancing community living outcomes for people with burn injuries. The program supports research at intervention development, intervention efficacy, and scale-up evaluation stages, with an emphasis on developing and testing interventions, services, and supports that address the complex, long-term needs of individuals living with burn injuries.
The grant supports a 36-month project period divided into three 12-month budget periods, enabling structured research and development activities over time.
The estimated total program funding is $700,000, with an award ceiling of $700,000 and an award floor of $695,000.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status (excluding institutions of higher education in certain cases), state governments, public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, Native American tribal organizations, small businesses, private institutions of higher education, city and township governments, county governments, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, special district governments, and for-profit organizations other than small businesses.
