The Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRP) Program for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) National Network supports national-level training, technical assistance, outreach, and research to improve understanding of rights and responsibilities under the ADA.
The focus areas, of this program include establishing 10 grants across the 10 HHS regions as part of the ADA National Network. The program requires applicants to deliver training, technical assistance, outreach, and research activities that improve stakeholder understanding of rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act. These activities are designed to strengthen awareness, compliance, and implementation of the ADA through coordinated national and regional efforts.
The program supports a 36-month project period divided into three 12-month budget periods, allowing sustained delivery of services and capacity-building activities over time.
The estimated total program funding is $11,074,494, with an award ceiling of $1,246,000 and an award floor of $1,000,000 per grant.
Eligible applicants include public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, Native American tribal organizations, state governments, private institutions of higher education, small businesses, county and city or township governments, special district governments, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status (excluding institutions of higher education in some cases), and for-profit organizations other than small businesses.
