The Sprint Grant is now accepting applications to support small Finnish companies in accelerating the development of innovative solutions aimed at international markets.
The program focuses on enabling companies to undertake bold and impactful development projects, demonstrate feasibility and business potential, strengthen readiness for private investment, and support the implementation of larger research and development initiatives.
This funding is designed to help companies validate their ideas and prepare for scaling their innovations globally. It encourages businesses to move quickly from concept to market by supporting projects that show strong potential for international growth and competitiveness.
The grant is provided as de minimis funding that does not need to be repaid. It covers 75 percent of approved project costs, with a maximum funding amount of EUR 100,000 and a total project cost ceiling of EUR 133,333.
The program is targeted at Finnish small companies developing new and innovative solutions for international markets. It supports startups under five years old that have not previously received funding from Business Finland, as well as companies over five years old that are pursuing significant business transformation based on innovation.
Applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements, including being a limited liability company registered in Finland with a Finnish Business ID and qualifying as a small or micro-enterprise with fewer than 50 employees and limited turnover or balance sheet size. Companies must demonstrate sufficient financial capacity to carry out the project, including minimum cash resources and equity investment, as well as adequate human resources with a committed team working in Finland.
