Deadline Date: August 01, 2026
If your organization is producing an event that advances sector development for Toronto’s creative industries, the City of Toronto may be able to support through event sponsorship.
The funding supports showcase or performance-based events, audience-building initiatives, promotion of local talent or companies, and events that advance knowledge-building, innovation, collaboration and commercialization within Toronto’s creative technology sector. The initiative also focuses on building sector capacity, generating significant public or sector impact, showcasing Toronto’s creative technology industry locally, nationally and internationally, and serving equity-deserving artists and audiences.
Most grants range from $2,500 to $15,000. Higher funding amounts may be available for sector development initiatives that are ongoing or demonstrate significant impact on the creative technology sector. The City of Toronto may also provide sponsorship support for events that contribute to sector development within Toronto’s creative industries.
Supported events are expected to contribute to the development and promotion of Toronto-based creative companies and professionals. The funding does not support artistic or talent development for artists, the production of creative or artistic works, or the development of technology platforms or products.
Eligible organizations include for-profit businesses, festivals, non-profit organizations, educational institutions and registered charities. Events must prioritize supporting the growth of creative industries as a primary objective and must serve companies or individuals based in Toronto.
