The Open Challenge Program for IT Applications in Graphic Design at the Kohima Centre of Excellence invites startups and entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions in graphic design technology.
The focus areas of this program include incubation of startups in IT-driven graphic design solutions, development of digital design tools and platforms, enhancement of productivity and efficiency in graphic design through automation and smart IT applications, creation of a strong ecosystem for design-tech startups, provision of mentorship and technical support, promotion of innovation in the graphic design domain, and fostering technology adoption among students and professionals in the creative industry.
This initiative is designed to support early-stage entrepreneurs working at the intersection of information technology and graphic design. It aims to strengthen the creative technology ecosystem by enabling startups to build scalable and innovative solutions that address industry challenges.
The program offers comprehensive support including strategic networking opportunities, seed funding, mentorship, training, marketing assistance, patent facilitation, and access to advanced incubation infrastructure and design tools. Selected startups will also benefit from incubation space in Kohima, technical and financial support, and business development assistance.
Additional support services include guidance from industry experts, domain-specific training programs, assistance in marketing and networking, and legal and intellectual property rights support, helping startups strengthen both their technical and business capabilities.
Eligibility is open to startups incorporated as private limited companies, registered partnership firms, or limited liability partnerships. Applicants must be registered within the last 10 years or complete registration within three months of selection if not yet incorporated. They must have an annual turnover not exceeding Rs. 100 crore, must not be formed through restructuring of an existing business, and should focus on innovation and development of graphic design-related solutions with potential for employment generation and economic growth.
