Siete Foods is looking to uplift majority Latina-owned food trucks, bakeries, and eateries across the nation with a total of $200,000 in awards!
At the Siete Juntos Fund, they strive to empower and support Latino communities, in line with the family’s motto of “Juntos es Mejor.” Over the next 5 years, they have committed 2 million dollars towards creating positive change through collaboration and inclusivity. The goal is to build a more equitable and prosperous future for all by providing the necessary resources and support for underserved communities to thrive.
Award Information
- They will award a total of $200,000. One recipient will be awarded $50,000; one recipient will be awarded $30,000; and one recipient will be awarded $20,000. The remaining $100,000 will be distributed to up to 10 additional recipients, with no prize less than $10,000 per business.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must own and operate a qualifying business, either independently or with partners and are limited to one (1) application per Juntos Fund application period. Subsidiary and franchise businesses are not eligible to apply.
- To qualify, applicants’ businesses must be majority (over 50%) Latina-owned and either be a food truck, bakery, or eatery, where the primary purpose is to serve food. Applicants must legally operate their business in the U.S. and must have been in business for at least two years. Businesses must also have an annual revenue minimum of $50,000 and a maximum of $2,000,000.
- Award recipients must use funds for a legitimate business purpose. Applicants are required to specifically itemize how they intend to use the award and the positive impact they believe it will have on the success of their business.
- If selected as a Semi-Finalist:
- Each applicant must be able to provide a valid W-9, 2021 & 2022 Tax Returns, Certificate of Good Standing, and expenses for the previous year.
- They will conduct a background check as a standard procedure to this application process. Something they want you to know: They value an inclusive screening process that does not automatically exclude applicants with a criminal record.
