Deadline Date: August 07, 2026
The Trauma Responsive Greater Manchester Fund supports VCSE organisations in Greater Manchester to embed trauma-responsive practices into their services and systems.
The focus areas of this fund include trauma-responsive practice, improving physical spaces, staff and volunteer training, organisational policy development, systems and procedures improvement, learning and reflective practice, evaluation and outcome measurement, wellbeing enhancement, and resilience building within communities and services. The grant funding available ranges from £5,000 to £10,000 and is intended to support practical, impactful changes rather than basic awareness activities.
This funding programme supports voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations in moving beyond basic trauma awareness to actively embedding trauma-responsive approaches in their everyday work. It encourages meaningful change in how services are designed and delivered.
Trauma-responsive practice focuses on recognising the impact of trauma on individuals and communities and creating environments that are safe, supportive, and empowering for all service users and staff.
The fund prioritises projects that improve physical environments to make them more welcoming and safe, deliver advanced trauma-responsive training, strengthen organisational policies and procedures, and establish systems for reflection, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Applicants are expected to clearly demonstrate how trauma-informed principles will be applied in practice and how their proposed activities will lead to measurable improvements in wellbeing and resilience.
Eligible organisations include VCSE groups operating within Greater Manchester for the benefit of local residents. Applicants must also meet governance requirements such as proper financial management, suitable organisational structure, and compliance with grant reporting standards where applicable.
