Call for Proposals: PROPEA/CBS Projects 2024 (Armenia)

PROPEA/Czech Business Support (CBS) projects are one of the instruments of the economic diplomacy promotion program of the Czech Republic. Projects are identified by the respective Embassies of the Czech Republic (through applications submitted by potential implementers) and approved by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs (CZ MFA).

In Armenia, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan manages the program, while local organizations (e.g. companies) implement the projects. The foreseen budget per project is max. 500000 CZK (roughly 20 000 EUR).

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a registered local subject with legal personality in Armenia.
• Implementer must be eligible to sign a contract with the CZ MFA that establishes jurisdiction of Czech laws and Czech courts.
• Czech financial contribution per project is maximum 500,000 CZK, the budget must not exceed this amount. At the same time, not more than 50,000 CZK can be allocated to support coordination/grouping of Czech companies in Armenia. They strongly encourage you not to aim at the highest possible threshold of funding.
• Co-financing of individual services on part of the Czech companies is set at minimum 30 % of the price of the services.

• Effectiveness of project results, logic of the project

Implementation

• Implementation of the project can be started only after signing the contract (expected in early 2024).
• Project implementation must not start earlier than January 1, 2024 and must not exceed October 31, 2024 (project billing must also be done by this date).
• The financial amount approved for the implementation of the project in CZK is also binding for the conversion into foreign currency.
• The transfer of funds between items in the approved identification form must be justified in writing to Embassy and described in the final report.
