Vinnova is inviting applications under a new funding call designed to strengthen Sweden’s strategic competence in 6G research and innovation through international staff exchange with partners in the United States and Singapore.
The initiative focuses on enhancing strategic 6G competence, fostering lasting collaborations with the United States and Singapore, enabling individual mobility through staff exchanges, and advancing research and innovation within the 6G domain.
This funding opportunity, launched by Vinnova, is designed to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration between Swedish organizations and their counterparts in the United States and Singapore. By supporting physical, on-site mobility, the program aims to deepen expertise and create sustainable international partnerships in the rapidly evolving field of 6G technology. The exchanges are required to last for a minimum of four weeks and can extend up to three months, ensuring meaningful engagement and impactful collaboration.
Eligible applicants include Swedish limited companies, regions, municipalities, universities, and research organizations that are actively involved in 6G research and innovation. The program emphasizes strengthening individual competencies while simultaneously building long-term institutional relationships that contribute to Sweden’s strategic goals in advanced telecommunications.
Financial support covers direct costs associated with mobility, with funding available up to 100% aid intensity and a maximum grant of SEK 500,000 per project. This comprehensive funding approach lowers barriers to participation and encourages a wide range of organizations to engage in international cooperation.
Through this initiative, Sweden aims to accelerate innovation, enhance expertise, and establish itself as a key player in the global 6G landscape by leveraging collaboration and knowledge exchange with leading international partners.
