Deadline Date: August 04, 2026
The Record Label Marketing & Manufacturing Grants program is offering funding to eligible Australian-owned record labels, label services, and distribution companies to support the release and promotion of contemporary Australian music.
The program supports marketing and promotional activities, physical manufacturing and distribution, digital distribution, artwork and design, merchandise production, video production in Australia, digital content creation, and accessibility-related costs. It also encourages environmentally sustainable manufacturing of physical music products.
Applicants must be Australian-owned record labels, label services, or distribution companies with at least two active artists who have released music through the label within the last two years. Applicants may submit one application per round. Artist managers, self-releasing artists, promoters, event companies, organisations with overdue grant reports, and those owing money to Creative Australia are not eligible.
Grants range from $2,000 to $10,000 and require matched funding on a 50:50 cash basis. Eligible costs include manufacturing, distribution, marketing, merchandise, artwork, video production, digital content, and accessibility expenses. An additional reimbursement of up to $2,000 is available for eligible environmentally sustainable manufacturing and freight costs. Funded activities must take place between 1 January and 31 December 2027.
Applications are assessed on viability and quality, including planning, budget, matched funding, artistic merit, industry impact, innovation, and contribution to Australia’s cultural and music sectors. Final funding decisions are made by Music Australia.
