Deadline Date: May 21, 2026
Solve’s 10th Anniversary Global Challenge invites innovators worldwide to present tech-based solutions that address critical social and environmental issues.
The challenge focuses on advancing a zero-carbon, equitable world and practical adaptation for communities already living with climate impacts, fostering economic opportunity, security, and mobility through jobs, livelihoods, financial inclusion, and small business growth, improving health outcomes and strengthening systems including care delivery, workforce, supply chains, prevention, and resilience, delivering measurable learning gains for all in a modern world especially for those with different learning needs, and supporting Indigenous communities in strengthening sovereignty while achieving social, environmental, and economic goals.
Over the past decade, Solve has received over 25,000 applications from innovators addressing social and environmental problems and has funded more than 600 solutions across over 100 challenges. To mark its 10th anniversary, Solve aims to highlight the range of tech-driven innovations led by people closest to the problems they are solving, showcasing the impact these solutions are already making and how the right funding can help them expand their reach.
Ten winners of the 2026 Global Challenge will gain a platform to present their work at the Solve Challenge Finals in New York City during UN General Assembly and NY Climate Week, with travel costs covered. Each winner will also receive at least $100,000 in unrestricted prize funding to use as needed. Specific prizes include the AI for Humanity Prize, supporting AI-driven solutions with up to $150,000, the E Ink Innovation Prize for sustainable, educational, or intercultural innovations with $100,000, the Citizens Workforce Innovation Prize focusing on workforce and economic solutions with $100,000, the Collegium Prize for Innovation in Mental Health with $100,000, and the Seeding the Future Prize for Climate-Positive and Equitable Food Systems also with $100,000.
This challenge targets solutions that are already operating at scale or in a growth stage, with established models and funding readiness. For for-profit solutions, this includes having raised seed funding or Series A for scaling, while nonprofit solutions should demonstrate steady funding or donor support.
