Deadline: July 31, 2026
The focus areas, objectives, priorities, and themes of the fund include helping those who are disadvantaged and helping smaller causes where modest donations can make a difference.
Established in 1939 as part of the Harry Payne Trust, the Harry Payne Fund offers grants of up to £2,000 to support eligible organisations working towards charitable objectives.
The fund does not support projects that involve or provide support to the armed forces. Applicants must ensure that their organisation has a management committee, board of trustees, or board of directors with at least three unrelated members. Details of directors and bank authorisation information must be provided as part of the application.
Applicants are required to submit a written constitution, articles, or set of rules along with their most recent annual accounts or financial records showing their balance of funds, income, and reserves. Organisations without a full year of financial records must provide available records and/or a cashflow forecast.
A bank statement from the last three months, a safeguarding policy, an equal opportunities policy, and quotes for capital items over £300 must also be included with the application.
Eligible organisations include registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations, constituted community groups, companies limited by guarantee with charitable aims, community interest companies, registered community benefit societies, registered industrial and provident societies, social enterprises, and other eligible organisations as specified by the fund guidelines. Funding to community interest companies and other non-charities may include conditions restricting funding to charitable objectives only.
