Deadline: July 06, 2026
The fund focuses on Better Connections by addressing isolation and vulnerability within communities. Supported initiatives may include friendship groups, activities that reduce loneliness, and projects that strengthen social connections among vulnerable individuals and groups.
Two funding streams are available under this programme. The Small Fund offers grants of up to £2,000, while the Large Fund provides grants of up to £10,000. All grants must be spent within one year of award. Priority is given to projects based in Coventry, although projects from Warwickshire may also be considered.
The funding is intended for organisations that have been operating for at least one year. Eligible costs include salaries, equipment, and volunteer expenses, provided these costs are clearly budgeted and directly related to the proposed project.
Eligible applicants include registered charities, constituted community groups, companies limited by guarantee with charitable aims, community interest companies, co-operatives registered as Community Benefit Societies or Industrial and Provident Societies, and social enterprises. Mutual Aid groups may also apply if they work in partnership with a constituted group or registered charity that will hold the funds on their behalf. Organisations must have an annual income of £500,000 or less, based on their most recent annual accounts.
The fund does not support individuals, sole traders, capital building projects, religious or political activities, deficit funding, repayment of loans, fundraising events, or organisations with significant financial reserves. Funding is also not available for statutory work in educational institutions, contact sports, or projects solely promoting a particular religion.
