Deadline: September 17, 2026
The focus areas of the programme include circular economy innovation, construction and demolition waste circularity, circular energy integration, electric vehicle battery recycling and reuse, circular economy in the textile industry, digital solutions for circular economy, and strengthening interregional innovation ecosystems across Europe.
RIVCircular is a project co-funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe that aims to strengthen collaboration between participating territories and enhance innovation ecosystems across the European Union.
The initiative supports Norway’s Innlandet region by promoting circular economy development and enabling cross-sector innovation through cascade funding for research, development, and experimental projects.
Funding is provided across five thematic areas, including construction and demolition waste circularity, circular energy integration using local waste streams, electric vehicle battery recycling and reuse, circular textile economy solutions, and digital innovations for circular economy transitions.
The total budget available under the call is €12,350,000. Each entity may request funding of up to €600,000 in total, even if it submits multiple proposals across different topics within the same call.
Eligible applicants include public bodies, universities, research centres, corporations, SMEs, and other legal entities based or operating in Innlandet, provided that project activities are implemented within the region. Applications must comply with EU state aid rules, and VAT is not eligible for funding where it can be recovered.
Applicants from Innlandet are not required to submit a separate regional application, but selected projects will include specific annexes and compliance conditions related to regional funding procedures and oversight.
