Lazio Innova has launched Moda Futura, an initiative of the Lazio Region under the Project “Strengthening the Active Space Network” and PR Lazio FESR 2021/2027 – Specific Objective 1.3, to support young fashion talents in developing skills and creating new entrepreneurial paths.
The focus areas of the opportunity are strengthen the skills of young creatives and foster the creation of new businesses in the fashion industry through an experiential, educational, and design program that combines creativity, sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurial vision.
Moda Futura is promoted by the Spazio Attivo network in collaboration with Unindustria and is aligned with broader initiatives aimed at enhancing the fashion sector within the Lazio Region and the Municipality of Rome. The program serves as an experimental platform for support activities such as design marathons, startup competitions, and co-design workshops based on the sector’s needs.
The opportunity is open to young stylists up to 35 years old who are residents or domiciled in Lazio, hold an AFAM degree or diploma obtained within the past 24 months, and have already created or marketed at least one product or collection. Up to 20 participants will be selected to take part in the workshop.
The project that obtains the highest score above the 70-point threshold will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euros for business creation. The winner will also gain direct access to a Lazio Innova mentoring program, which includes specialized services such as business management, IPR protection, contracts, marketing, and information on financial instruments and opportunities offered by the Lazio Region. Facilities services at a Spazio Attivo office may also be made available as part of the support package.
All participants in the workshop will benefit from promotion across Lazio Innova’s digital channels, helping to showcase their prototypes and creative work. They will also take part in the Demo Day, where each participant will present their business project and prototypes of their products and creations to industry professionals and key stakeholders.
