Deadline: July 07, 2026
The focus areas of the challenge include food safety innovation, AI-powered solutions, automation-driven systems, real-time monitoring, supply chain intelligence, error reduction in inventory handling, expiry date validation, product safety, storage and dispatch processes, and compliance in quick commerce ecosystems.
The challenge is launched in collaboration with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to strengthen food safety in mother hubs and delivery hubs.
It aims to address risks in rapid commerce operations where human errors in handling, storage, and expiry validation can impact consumer safety and business outcomes.
Participants are encouraged to build intelligent, self-correcting supply chain solutions that minimize human error and ensure that only safe, fresh, and compliant products are delivered to customers.
The challenge is open to DPIIT-registered startups or those in the process of registration, early-stage technology companies, MSMEs with scalable solutions, and academic or research institutions with deployable prototypes.
Winners will receive prize money of INR 3 Lakhs for first place, INR 2 Lakhs for second place, and INR 1 Lakh for third place. Additional non-financial incentives include training support, access to dark stores and mother hubs for testing solutions, pilot opportunities with Zepto, and potential onboarding as vendors based on performance and business requirements.
