Visa Africa FinTech Accelerator Program – Cohort 6 (Africa)

Deadline Date: May 17, 2026

The Visa Africa FinTech Accelerator Program Cohort 6 is offering to support early-stage fintech startups in Africa by providing structured growth support, mentorship, and technical resources.

The focus areas, of this program include strengthening product design, marketing, finance, sales, and business development capabilities, offering expert mentorship through one-on-one sessions with founders and industry professionals, providing access to Visa’s fintech training and developer tools, supporting startups with MVPs and market-ready solutions, encouraging scalable and innovative fintech solutions, and promoting the growth of startups with traction and operations or expansion plans within African markets.

This accelerator program is aimed at helping fintech startups accelerate their growth by equipping them with practical knowledge and industry expertise. Participants will benefit from structured learning modules that focus on key areas essential for scaling a financial technology business, including product development, go-to-market strategies, and financial planning.

In addition to training, selected startups will receive direct mentorship from experienced founders and industry experts. These sessions are intended to provide practical insights, problem-solving support, and strategic guidance tailored to the needs of each participating startup.

The program also provides access to Visa’s technical ecosystem, including developer tools and fintech solutions. This enables startups to enhance their product capabilities, integrate advanced payment solutions, and build more efficient and scalable financial products.

Eligibility for Cohort 6 is targeted at startups that have developed a minimum viable product or are already operating with a market-ready solution. Applicants are expected to be at the seed to Series A stage and demonstrate either market traction or readiness for market expansion.

Startups applying to the program should be working on innovative fintech solutions aligned with the program’s themes and should either be operating within Africa or have a strong intention to expand into African markets. The program is designed to support companies that are already testing their products in the market and are ready to scale.
