The Creative Australia is inviting applications for the International Travel Fund: Market Development to support travel to key international market development platforms and gatherings that help strengthen global engagement in the arts and cultural sector.
The aims of the fund are to support international travel costs for individuals, groups or organisations to attend market development platforms or key gatherings and to support Australian artists, authors, illustrators, creative workers and organisations to build and sustain international networks and connections. The fund is open to applicants working in community arts and cultural development, dance, emerging and experimental arts, First Nations arts and culture, literature, multi-art form, music (excluding contemporary music as defined by Music Australia), theatre, and visual arts.
The funding supports international travel activities taking place between 15 October 2026 and 30 June 2027. Applicants may request a fixed amount of $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, or $20,000. Applications requesting any other amount will not be considered.
Eligible applicants include Australian individuals, groups, organisations, and small businesses. Australian citizens and permanent residents may apply whether they are based in Australia or overseas. Australian organisations working in the arts and culture sector, internationally based organisations that can demonstrate benefits for Australian artists, and organisations currently receiving specified Creative Australia investment funding are also eligible to apply.
Applicants may submit only one application per closing date. Individuals are not permitted to submit a personal application while also applying on behalf of a group or organisation in the same funding round.
