The SMART Call 10 invites applications for international research and development projects supported through collaborative innovation funding.
The focus areas of this call include research and development, innovative products, processes and services, international cooperation, commercialisation, startups, SMEs, large companies, research organisations, universities, and cross-border innovation projects.
The call is open to applicants from Austria, Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom.
Funding conditions vary by participating country. The Czech Republic provides grants of up to 12,000,000 Czech korunas, with projects limited to a maximum duration of 36 months. France provides loans of up to €3 million per project for startups and SMEs.
Hungary provides grants between 20 and 70 million Hungarian forints, while Latvia provides grants of up to €100,000 per participant per year. Lithuania offers grants of up to €300,000 per project.
Poland provides grants of up to 1 million Polish zloty for single applicants or 2 million Polish zloty for domestic consortia. South Africa provides grants of up to €300,000 per project, and South Korea provides grants of up to 500 million South Korean won per year per project for up to three years, with total funding of up to 1.5 billion South Korean won.
Spain provides loan and grant support through separate funding lines, including loans covering eligible costs and non-repayable grants for eligible companies. Sweden provides grants of up to 15 million Swedish krona per project for SMEs and large companies.
The SMART Call 10 – 2026 supports collaborative projects that involve international cooperation and research or development of innovative products, processes, or services with the goal of commercialisation.
