Technology Transfer Lazio (TT Lazio) is a program designed to support the commercial valorization of high-tech research results and promote their application in manufacturing and the development of advanced materials within the strategic innovation sectors of the Lazio Region.
The programme focuses on technology transfer, research commercialization, innovation capacity strengthening, advanced technologies, advanced materials, life sciences, energy and environment, space economy, market development, proof of concept creation, business model development, investor engagement, and innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
TT Lazio is promoted by the Lazio Region under the PR Lazio FESR 2021/2027 framework and is managed by Lazio Innova. The initiative aims to transform research outcomes into market-ready solutions by supporting innovative projects through a structured acceleration pathway.
The first phase, Get Ready, supports 50 selected ideas over a period of three months. During this stage, participants receive training and guidance to define their target market, develop their products, and create an initial business model that can support future commercialization activities.
The second phase, Start, involves 25 projects that continue through a four-month development process. Participants strengthen both technical and entrepreneurial skills, deepen their understanding of market dynamics, analyze competitors, create a Proof of Concept (PoC), and prepare an effective elevator pitch to communicate the value of their projects.
The final phase, Stairs, is dedicated to five finalist projects over three months. These projects receive personalized support to address specific development gaps and prepare for market entry. All finalist teams participate in the concluding Demo Day, where they present their solutions to potential users, investors, and strategic partners. The event is designed to encourage pilot initiatives and market testing opportunities for the most mature innovations.
The programme provides extensive acceleration support through personalized consultancy, technical assistance from industry experts, and access to equipment, facilities, and innovation environments available within the Fab Labs and the Active Space Network of the Lazio Region.
Financial support is also available for finalist projects. The five finalists can receive a prize of €40,000, a non-repayable grant of up to €110,000, and access to quasi-equity investment from the TT VENTURE Lazio fund of up to €400,000. At least two finalist projects may benefit from this investment opportunity.
In addition to financial and technical support, participants gain opportunities to engage with investors and potential partners, helping them build collaborations and accelerate the commercialization of innovative technologies.
