The Greenovation Agri Mechanization Challenge supports startups, SMEs, innovators, and FPCs developing affordable and climate-friendly solutions for Indian agriculture.
The focus areas of the challenge include farm mechanization and equipment, post-harvest and value chain systems, water resource management, natural resource management, and dairy and livestock systems.
The Greenovation Agri Mechanization Challenge is an initiative by Greenovation Hub and BAIF Cares, powered by EarthON. It aims to support practical technologies that improve smallholder productivity, reduce field drudgery, minimize post-harvest losses, and strengthen resilient rural value chains.
The challenge encourages solutions in farm mechanization through smallholder-friendly machinery, precision agriculture tools, shared-access systems, soil testing technologies, and women-friendly equipment. It also supports innovations in storage, processing, aggregation, logistics, supply chains, and market access that help improve farmer incomes.
Projects focused on water resource management are encouraged to develop solutions for groundwater restoration, borewell recharge, water monitoring, rejuvenation of local water bodies, decentralized water systems, and climate-resilient irrigation. Natural resource management solutions include agri-waste recycling, waste-to-value technologies, biogas, circular agriculture, soil health improvement, and sustainable resource use.
The challenge also welcomes innovations in dairy and livestock systems, including livestock nutrition, cattle health monitoring, dairy productivity, community-led livestock services, and advanced beekeeping models.
Selected participants will gain access to a share of the ₹20 lakh prize pool to help implement and scale their solutions. High-potential participants may also access future investment opportunities, including up to ₹1 crore in equity support for startups and up to ₹25 lakh in growth support for FPOs.
The cohort also includes a three-day residential bootcamp, opportunities to showcase innovations through a shared exhibition, and exposure to policymakers, investors, industry leaders, and global climate finance networks.
