Deadline: November 26, 2025
Creative Saskatchewan offers the Marketing Grant – Micro Stream to support applicants from all creative sectors in Canada who want to improve visibility and generate sales for smaller, sharply-focused marketing projects.
The focus areas include engaging the services of a publicist or marketing professional, creation of marketing materials including branding, documentation of work (for visual artists), website design, social media and advertising, or distribution, market research and intelligence activities identifying commercial opportunities, travel and accommodation for promotional purposes, shipping and/or services required to deliver the project successfully, in-house fees related to marketing activity at industry standard rates, and expenses for confirmed dates of promotional tour dates and press appearances.
The Micro Stream is designed for smaller, sharply-focused marketing projects and applicants can receive funding up to 50% of the approved project budget to a maximum of $5,000 per fiscal year. Only one Micro Stream application per applicant is allowed each fiscal year, and applicants cannot receive additional Marketing – Micro Grants through single purpose companies, parent companies, or other companies where they are owner or majority stakeholder.
Applicants can expect to receive results approximately four weeks after the deadline, and notifications will be delivered via email and available in the Grant Management System. If the applicant needs to finance the remaining portion of the project budget not covered by the grant, options include consulting with a Program Advisor, exploring Creative Saskatchewan’s Additional Funding Resources, or reaching out to industry associations and local economic development organizations.
Applicants are encouraged to prepare and submit their applications well in advance, read the program-specific guidelines, book consultations with Program Advisors if needed, and describe their marketing projects clearly and concisely, highlighting why the project is essential to the growth of their career or business. Repeated applications for similar projects may not always be successful, and the role of marketing professionals on the team should be mentioned to strengthen the application
