Deadline: October 17, 2025
The Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) of St. Kitts and Nevis has launched the Local Micro and Small Business Grant Programme, offering EC$10,000 in funding to 25 local entrepreneurs, on the first anniversary of CIU as a statutory body, aiming to empower businesses across the Federation through financial support, training, and long-term access to financial tools.
The Local Micro and Small Business Grant Programme is a milestone initiative by the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis to support homegrown businesses and foster sustainable economic growth. Through this programme, 25 micro and small business owners will receive EC$10,000 each, providing a crucial financial boost to help businesses move from survival to sustainability.
Beyond funding, the programme equips recipients with business training and capacity-building opportunities designed to professionalise operations and enhance their long-term growth potential. By participating, entrepreneurs gain not only immediate financial assistance but also essential skills and access to financial tools that strengthen their ability to contribute meaningfully to the national economy.
Eligible applicants must hold a valid business or farmer’s licence, have operated for at least 12 months, and not have received government grant support in the past year. Special consideration will be given to businesses that align with the Sustainable Island State Agenda, reflecting the Government’s commitment to inclusive and resilient economic development.
Applications are simple and quick, with interested entrepreneurs able to submit their business details, upload proof of licences, and explain how the grant will impact their business.
The Local Micro and Small Business Grant Programme forms part of the broader effort to build a Sustainable Island State, create jobs, support homegrown businesses, and ensure economic growth that is inclusive, resilient, and future-ready. Entrepreneurs across St. Kitts and Nevis are invited to join this movement and help shape the future of business in the Federation.
