Energy Solutions Oxfordshire (ESOx) has a team with extensive experience and practical knowledge aimed at helping businesses and community organisations in Oxfordshire achieve sustainability goals while reducing energy costs. Through a comprehensive Energy Efficiency Assessment, ESOx delivers tailored recommendations to meet the specific needs of each business, offering practical and effective energy advice with measurable impact.
To access the Green Fund, organisations need to have an ESOx energy efficiency report. These reports evaluate whether your premises are suitable for low-carbon technologies such as solar PV and provide recommendations for low- and no-cost improvements. The Green Fund supports the implementation of these recommendations, including renewable energy installations, insulation, and building or material upgrades.
Eligibility for the Green Fund requires organisations to be SMEs with fewer than 250 employees, an annual turnover not exceeding €50 million, and/or a balance sheet not exceeding €43 million, and to have an ESOx assessment with plans to implement at least one recommended measure. The funding ranges from £200 to £10,000 and is match-funded on a 1:3 basis, meaning organisations contribute 75% of project costs while the grant covers 25%. For instance, a £10,000 grant requires a total project expenditure of £40,000, with £30,000 contributed by the organisation.
The Green Fund not only provides financial support but also helps organisations position themselves as sustainability leaders within their communities. By improving energy efficiency and adopting renewable energy technologies, businesses can reduce operational costs, enhance working environments, improve staff retention, and benefit from more stable energy costs and potential revenue opportunities.
