Deadline: November 05, 2025
The Go Succeed grant offers financial support to small businesses and social enterprises looking to grow, improve productivity, and expand their digital presence.
Grants support up to 50% of eligible capital costs, with a maximum of £3,000, for businesses receiving or having received Go Succeed support. Eligible funding includes specialist equipment to automate production processes, digital tools such as websites or software to streamline operations, and other capital expenditures linked to productivity growth, access to new markets, and improved business performance. Applications are competitive, paid retrospectively, and require completion of at least 60% of mentoring through the Go Succeed program. Applicants must be actively trading, have identified a growth barrier addressable by the grant, and be or have the potential to become an employer or social economy enterprise with 1–49 full-time employees.
Businesses already awarded a Go Succeed grant are not eligible to apply. The program encourages investment in tools that improve efficiency and productivity, such as new equipment, mobile machinery including scissor lifts, forklifts, and ride-on lawnmowers, as well as computer equipment, software (outright purchase only), web development, and e-commerce websites. Ongoing license fees are not eligible for funding.
Applicants are advised not to start any projects before receiving a formal Letter of Offer, as costs incurred prior to this will not be funded. Support and guidance from local council teams can help applicants understand eligibility and identify suitable project proposals. The grant process is competitive, and funding is limited; meeting criteria does not guarantee an award. Interested businesses are encouraged to reach out to their local council team for advice and guidance on starting their Go Succeed journey.
