The AI Challenge 2025 is a Europe-wide initiative from the EIT AI Community to accelerate the deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions across industries and public sectors.
The focus areas for 2025 include Data spaces for cities, health, and manufacturing, AI and 5G technologies, AI for drones, Synthetic data & anonymisation, Generative AI applications, and Process optimisation & logistics.
The initiative invites cities, corporates, public institutions, and other stakeholders to submit their pressing data- and AI-related challenges, while startups and innovative solution providers are encouraged to propose solutions. By submitting a challenge, organisations gain access to Europe’s most promising AI startups and scaleups, discover deployable solutions tailored to their needs, position themselves as leaders in AI-driven innovation, and contribute to shaping a strong, connected European AI ecosystem.
For startups and solution providers, participation offers structured matchmaking and guided collaboration with challenge owners, high visibility across the European AI ecosystem, and a chance to win a cash prize of €10,000 to support further development or co-develop a proof-of-concept with the challenger company. Participants also gain access to the exclusive AI Founders Club, which offers a curated portfolio of support services from the EIT AI Community.
