The Samriddhi 2.0 is an incubation programme designed to support innovators and startups developing advanced solutions in the food technology sector.
The focus areas of the programme include food production and processing innovation, sustainable packaging and preservation, smart processing and automation, consumer-centric food technology solutions, food waste management, circular economy approaches, food safety and quality improvement, and nutritional innovation.
Samriddhi 2.0 is a hybrid incubation programme (online and offline) jointly offered by TECHIN, IIT Palakkad in collaboration with Symega Food Ingredients Ltd. It aims to support innovations at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 and above that address real industry challenges in food technology.
Selected participants receive funding support of up to ₹5 lakhs along with hybrid incubation support and expert mentorship from industry and academic professionals. The programme is designed to help innovators develop and scale their food technology solutions.
Eligible applicants must be Indian nationals with innovative ideas that have reached at least TRL-4, demonstrating a working prototype in a laboratory environment. Applicants must have original and proprietary ideas and be willing to register as startups after selection. Selected participants are required to sign an incubation agreement with TECHIN, which may include a minor equity stake as part of the programme structure.
