The Private Sector Pathways Program is inviting applications to support innovative small-to-medium enterprises in Queensland to collaborate with corporate partners and develop commercialisation opportunities.
The program focuses on increasing partnerships between SMEs and corporate businesses or large organisations to solve problems, build commercial opportunities, trial technologies with corporates, create connections and potential commercial contracts, pivot products or services to new sectors, retain intellectual property, and build credibility by working with large corporate customers.
Queensland-based startups and SMEs with fewer than 200 full-time equivalent employees and a minimal viable product being developed locally are eligible to apply for funding of up to $100,000. Applicants must hold an ABN registered in Queensland, be registered for GST, and not have had previous commercial contracts with the participating corporate partners. Corporate partners must have an office in Queensland, be a legal entity with an active ABN, pay taxes in Australia, employ staff locally, ideally operate within priority industries such as advanced manufacturing, hydrogen, bio-futures, biomedical, defence, aerospace, space, resource recovery, or mining technology, have internal approval to co-fund the project, and demonstrate financial capacity to deliver the project.
Through this program, SMEs gain funding, access to corporate networks, and the opportunity to validate and expand their products or services while building credibility and commercial experience in collaboration with established corporate partners.
