Deadline: 17-April-2026
Supported by the Measures and Support Division under the European Regional Development Fund, this initiative helps enterprises remain competitive in a global marketplace by investing in digital transformation.
The scheme focuses on enabling enterprises to adopt new digital capabilities and digitalised processes, including product and process design and engineering, end-to-end procurement, supply chain and distribution systems, after-sales services, and the integration of digital technologies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer experience.
The Digitalise Your SME initiative is designed to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, including start-ups, in their transition towards digital operations. Through non-repayable grants, the scheme part-finances investments that strengthen business resilience and enhance operational performance. The funding is administered under the European Regional Development Fund programming period 2021–2027, with the Measures and Support Division acting as the Intermediate Body responsible for implementation.
With a total budget of €5,000,000, the scheme offers grants ranging from a minimum of €10,000 to a maximum of €128,400, which includes an additional 7% flat rate to cover indirect costs related to the investment. The scheme remains open until 31 December 2026, subject to the availability of funds.
Eligible applicants include SMEs engaged in economic activities regardless of legal form, as well as start-ups classified as micro or small enterprises. Businesses without a legal personality must be registered under the relevant provisions of Maltese law to qualify.
The scheme supports investments in hardware, software, and other digital solutions that help businesses modernize their operations. By digitalising management systems, enterprises can optimise workflows and improve task efficiency, leading to long-term operational benefits. The adoption of advanced digital machinery enhances production processes by increasing both speed and quality, while digital tools allow businesses to deliver more customised services by effectively analysing customer data.
Furthermore, digitalisation enables enterprises to expand their market reach through online channels and targeted digital marketing strategies, helping them connect with the most relevant audiences. Overall, the initiative aims to foster innovation, improve resource management, and open up new economic opportunities for SMEs.
