StartupTN invites Agri-Tech startups to make use of the Agri-Tech Grant scheme offered by the Department of Agricultural Marketing & Agri Business, Government of Tamil Nadu, and apply for financial support.
The focus of the opportunity includes Grant up to Rs. 10 lakh for early stage startups, Grant up to Rs. 25 lakh for startups looking for market expansion, and innovation, development, or improvement of agricultural products or processes. The Agri-Tech Grant scheme is designed to support startups that are developing innovative solutions within the agricultural sector and are headquartered in Tamil Nadu. The grant is aimed at strengthening early-stage enterprises as well as startups that are ready to expand their market presence.
Eligible startups must be registered with the DPIIT Portal under Startup India and should be incorporated as a Private Limited Company, LLP, or Partnership firm. The applicant startup must have an average profit of less than Rs. 5 lakh in the last three years and must not have been formed by splitting or reconstructing an existing business.
The scheme is open only to Indian startups with at least 51% Indian promoter shareholding and with no pending dues or blacklisting by any Government agency. Startups working on Ready to eat products are not eligible for support under this grant.
