Deadline Date: June 10, 2026
The Uganda Green Enterprise Finance Accelerator has launched UGEFA4Her to strengthen women-led green enterprises by improving their capacity, expanding access to finance, and supporting business growth in Uganda’s green economy.
The initiative focuses on women-led and women-owned enterprise development, green economy expansion, financial inclusion, investment readiness, capacity building, sustainable production practices, and improved access to networks, mentorship, and financing opportunities for scaling businesses.
Women-led businesses will also benefit from an additional dedicated one-day UGEFA4Her session that offers tailored learning, women-only peer engagement spaces, and practical tools to enhance participation in the broader programme.
UGEFA4Her targets women-led or women-owned green enterprises registered and operating in Uganda that are already generating revenue and demonstrate clear growth potential. Eligible applicants are expected to operate within green sectors such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and green manufacturing, waste management and recycling, eco-tourism, and sustainable transport. The programme is designed for entrepreneurs seeking external finance to scale their operations and strengthen their market position.
Selected enterprises will receive structured support through a 12-day Catalyser Programme that focuses on business model refinement, financial systems strengthening, and investment readiness preparation. Additional technical assistance is provided to support sustainable and clean production practices, alongside networking opportunities that connect participants with peers, investors, and industry partners.
