Deadline Date: June 23, 2026
The United Nations Development Programme is seeking applications to support digital, AI, and employability skills in Armenia through structured training and capacity-building programs.
The initiative focuses on digital literacy, cybersecurity, AI literacy, soft skills development, employability enhancement, entrepreneurship training, curriculum design, human capital development, institutional capacity building, and regional inclusion across Armenia with a special focus on Marzes. The total program duration is 4.5 months, with funding of up to USD 40,000.
The program is implemented under UNDP Armenia’s “NEST: National Ecosystem for Skills and Technology” umbrella initiative, which is designed to strengthen digital and AI literacy infrastructure and the broader skills ecosystem in Armenia. It promotes integrated policy development, institutional modeling, innovative incentive mechanisms, curriculum design, and human capital development to support national capacity building.
The Innovation Challenge requires selected partners to design a context-relevant upskilling course that integrates digital literacy, cybersecurity, AI literacy, and soft skills into a single structured program. The course must include behavioral and motivational components that encourage job activation and entrepreneurial behavior, and must be delivered by experts including at least one digital or AI/cybersecurity specialist and one soft skills specialist.
Selected partners are required to recruit and engage participants from across Armenia, with special attention to Marzes, and maintain participant databases with relevant demographic and engagement information. Training must be delivered through a hybrid model across regions, consisting of at least 20 classroom hours and 10 online hours, with a maximum of 22 participants per class, ensuring accessibility and inclusion with required learning resources provided to each trainee.
The program also includes peer support mechanisms, team-building activities, and at least two inspirational speaker sessions per course to enhance motivation and engagement. Psycho-social support may also be provided where necessary to reduce dropouts and ensure successful completion of training activities.
Participants are expected to develop both an Employment Package, including CVs, motivation letters, and interview preparation materials, and an Entrepreneurship Package that includes a micro-business concept, basic business plan, market research, budgeting, and marketing strategies.
Learning outcomes will be assessed through pre- and post-tests and final assignments, with certification provided to successful participants. Implementing partners are also required to submit regular reports to UNDP Armenia, including recruitment, interim delivery, and final reports, along with monitoring support and participant engagement in evaluation activities.
The program targets high school students aged 15–17, youth aged 18–29, women aged 30–40, recipients of social and family benefits, people displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, and public servants from Yerevan and the Marzes of Armenia.
