Submit EOIs: Quantum Space Technology R/D Delegation Program to the Netherlands

The delegation aims to build Canada–Netherlands industrial R&D collaboration in quantum-enabling technologies applied to space systems, focusing on technology validation, adaptation, and co-development. Key areas include secure satellite communications, quantum-safe cryptography, Earth observation and advanced sensing, quantum sensing with AI-driven analytics, PNT solutions for GNSS-denied environments, onboard high-performance and hybrid quantum-classical computing, and advanced space system integration technologies such as photonics and intelligent systems.

Eligible applicants are profit-oriented Canadian SMEs incorporated in Canada with experience commercializing technology and capacity to co-develop solutions with Dutch partners. Applicants must demonstrate readiness for international collaboration, sufficient resources for a multi-year co-innovation project, and intent to expand into the Dutch market. Universities, RTOs, incubators, and industry associations may participate but are not eligible for funding.

CIIP provides up to 50% of eligible expenses, including economy airfare, accommodation, local transport, per diem, and conference fees. The support applies to participation in the five-day delegation in September 2026, which includes ESA Industry Space Days, B2B meetings, ecosystem briefings, and networking activities in the Netherlands.

Applications are reviewed by Global Affairs Canada, the Embassy of Canada to the Netherlands, and the National Quantum Strategy Secretariat based on eligibility, technical merit, and organizational capacity for international R&D collaboration. Participation is limited, and only selected companies are invited to apply for funding support. Successful applicants are notified after evaluation.
