The Call for Test and Demonstration Projects for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises 2026 provides funding to Swedish SMEs to test, verify, and demonstrate innovative solutions in relevant real-world environments, helping reduce risks and validate performance, functionality, security, and usability before market introduction.
The call focuses on testing and demonstration of innovative solutions, verification of functionality, performance, security and usability, reduction of risks prior to market introduction, and the use of relevant test and demonstration environments to validate solutions under realistic conditions.
Through this funding opportunity, SMEs can obtain support for projects that help verify whether their innovations perform as intended in real-world settings. The initiative is designed to strengthen the readiness of new products, services, or solutions before they are launched commercially. By carrying out testing and demonstration activities, companies can gain valuable evidence regarding the effectiveness and reliability of their innovations.
The funding is intended for projects where testing and verification services are purchased externally in relevant test and demonstration environments. The applying company must be the sole participant in the project and should be developing an innovative solution that requires validation before entering the market.
Applicants may seek funding of up to SEK 1 million per project. The support can cover up to 70 percent of eligible project costs, while the remaining portion must be provided through co-financing and relate to the same type of costs. This funding structure is intended to help SMEs reduce financial barriers associated with testing and demonstration activities while ensuring commitment to project implementation.
By supporting testing and verification efforts, the program aims to help SMEs improve the quality, performance, and market readiness of innovative solutions, thereby increasing their chances of successful commercialization.
