The Dutch Film Fund is accepting applications for its Cinescoop Scheme to support the realization of ambitious Dutch feature films and long animation films.
The scheme supports a maximum of 4 Dutch films each year that strive for the highest possible cinematographic quality in terms of content and production. They are looking for original film plans with a convincing cultural added value, including children’s and youth films.

- Cinescoop focuses on Dutch directing talent that has proven itself with previous work on a national or international level.
Funding Information
- The following contributions can be requested for Cinescoop:
- Maxima already € 1,800,000 for the realization of the (animation) feature film, taking into account the frameworks for state aid.
- The contribution includes the earmarked amounts for sales deliveries for international sales (max. €6,000) and audio description and subtitling (max. €6,000). This makes it possible to make the film accessible to visually and hearing impaired people via various platforms. The contribution also includes the earmarked contribution for the costs incurred by the producer for marketing and promotion in the realization phase (max. up to 75% of the costs up to a maximum of €50,000).
- The Fund makes an additional contribution to the sustainability of production:
- A contribution towards the costs of the eco-manager up to an amount of €3,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The application for Cinescoop can be submitted by an independent production company (a legal entity, not a sole proprietorship or general partnership) that has been established for at least two years in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a member state of the EU, EEA or Switzerland and that produces and exploits films and other audiovisual productions on a continuous basis.
- The production company is represented by a producer with demonstrable knowledge and experience, who has been primarily responsible for the realization of at least one feature film that has been released in Dutch cinemas. The producer is not the same person as the director or screenwriter of the film.
