Deadline Date: July 19, 2026
The Herambiente has launched the FIB3R Call4Innovation to identify new applications and products developed from regenerated carbon fiber produced at the FIB3R plant in Imola.
The focus areas of the initiative include automotive, aerospace, sports, design, civil engineering, advanced manufacturing, and broader applications aligned with circular economy objectives where carbon fiber can enable high-performance solutions.
The opportunity enables selected participants to access rCF samples and semi-finished materials for prototype development and to engage in structured collaboration with an established industrial operator. It also supports flexible cooperation models such as material supply, co-development, licensing, and industrial partnerships, depending on project requirements.
The initiative further aims to support solutions that demonstrate scalability, industrial feasibility, and strong market applicability, while integrating participants into the European circular innovation ecosystem. Selected projects will also be presented during a dedicated event at the Ecomondo 2026 trade fair, offering international visibility and networking opportunities within the sector.
Participation benefits include material support or cash prizes, depending on regulatory provisions, along with access to an industrial innovation network connected to the FIB3R ecosystem. The initiative is open to European companies with manufacturing experience, European startups, design studios working on innovative industrial products, as well as European research groups and universities.
Eligible applicants must demonstrate strong technical capability, prototype development capacity, industrial scalability potential, relevant team expertise, and alignment with the material characteristics of regenerated carbon fiber.
