IREX and NGO EasyBusiness, as part of the “Unity for Action” program, are launching the “Restart for IDPs” educational grant program.
The strategic goal of the “Unity for Action” program is to integrate displaced people and businesses into the life and economy of communities, and to promote national recovery through the effective mobilization of the efforts and potential of IDPs.
“Unity for Action” is a program that empowers internally displaced persons to become leaders in community cohesion, lead support structures, increase their resilience, and contribute to Ukraine’s national reconstruction. The program is implemented by the international organization IREX with support from the U.S. Department of State.
Funding Information
- Program winners will receive $10,000 in grant support and will also be able to:
- develop your business skills;
- learn to form business strategies and study the market;
- increase business competitiveness;
- to improve the export potential of the enterprise;
- receive individual mentoring support from leading business coaches.
Who is the program for?
- Owners of micro, small and medium-sized businesses founded by IDPs or relocated and currently operating are invited to participate in the “Restart for IDPs” program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Requirements for program participants:
- The following can participate in the program: Limited Liability Companies (LLC), Individual Entrepreneurs (IEP) or Private Enterprises (PE), which are micro, small or medium-sized businesses in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
- Place of registration: The enterprise must be registered and actually carry out activities in any of the 18 target regions of the program (Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zakarpattia, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv regions).
- Company registration date: until 01.01.2024
- Founder/Manager – IDP: The enterprise must be founded and managed by an IDP after forced displacement or it can be a relocated enterprise whose founder/manager received an IDP certificate after the business relocation. The fact of forced internal displacement must be documented.
- Important: Any legal entity or individual entrepreneur from the list above can submit one application for participation in the program and funding.
