Spanish companies wishing to export outside the EU can apply for financing for the certifications required for marketing products and services, thereby reducing regulatory risk.
The International Certification grant is part of the “Mentoring and Support for Internationalization” program launched by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, as a partner of the State Secretariat for Trade, and financed by the Next Generation Funds through the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
Aims
- The program aims to support companies with a turnover of more than €300,000 in obtaining certifications for the international marketing of their products or services outside the European Union.
Funding Information
- The amount of aid will vary depending on the turnover and certifications proposed:
- Companies with a turnover between €300,001 and €1,000,000: 20,000 euros maximum aid, out of a maximum eligible budget of €25,000.
- Companies with revenues between €1,000,001 and €5,000,000: 75,000 euros in maximum aid, based on a maximum eligible budget of €93,750.
- Companies with revenues of €5,000,001 or more: 150,000 euros in maximum aid, based on a maximum eligible budget of €187,500.
- Consulting associated with certification.
- Costs of shipping, return and/or destruction of samples.
- Cost of laboratory tests (in Spain or at the destination)
Eligible Costs
- This line of support includes all expenses associated with the certification process, such as:
- Consulting associated with certification.
- Costs of shipping, return and/or destruction of samples.
- Cost of the tests.
- Issuance of the certification
- In all cases, certifications must be aimed at improving the SME’s international competitiveness outside the EU.
- Expenses will be eligible from January 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
- You are a Spanish company.
- You have your own product or service.
- You have a turnover of more than 300,000 euros.
- If you apply for assistance with voluntary certification, you must also prove your status as an exporting company.
