The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) invites experts to submit written grant proposals for the “Programme for Innovation in Climate Adaptation and Resilience Building Solutions (PARS) “financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
Components
- Component 1: Creating a conducive policy environment to stimulate the development and deployment of innovative climate adaptation and support the uptake of resilience building solutions
- Component 2: Development and deployment of innovative climate adaptation and resilience building Solutions
- Component 3: Development of innovative financial instruments for climate adaptation and resilience building solutions
- Component 4: Coordination, Knowledge management and Learning
Funding Information
- Applicants should provide co-financing of a minimum value of USD 1,000,000 for component 1 and a minimum value of USD 2,000,000 for component 3 from their own organisation.

Eligibility Criteria
- In order to ensure sound financial management of the funds awarded and alignment with ISID, the Applicant shall meet the minimum admissibility and eligibility requirements indicated in this CfP.
- Applicants shall be excluded from access to UNIDO funding, when found to be the subject of an Exclusion Determination pursuant to the UNIDO Policy on Exclusion from Funding.
- Applicants shall submit all the following documents to be qualified for grant application:
- The applicant must be registered as a legal entity authorized to enter into contracts/agreements with UNIDO. As a proof, the applicant must provide a certified copy of their Certificate of Incorporation or other documents setting forth the legal basis of the entity/company.
- The Applicant shall demonstrate at least five (5) years of experience in the field of services specified in the CfP. The applicant shall also indicate if the company has already provided services to the United Nations system of organizations.
- In case a consortium is formed it must follow the requirements indicated in this document.
- The applicant must submit a filled in Institutional/Micro assessment Form
- The applicant must submit audited financial reports and statements for the last three years, the filled in and signed UNIDO Financial Statement and Certification Form (Profit Margin Ratio: profit/turnover should be positive). Additionally, the applicant should if possible, include D&B (or equivalent) ranking report. UNIDO reserves the right to check the financial stability of the applicant through the entire process, therefore the applicant must provide a D&B number (or equivalent) which could be obtained on D&B website.
- The applicant must submit filled in and signed UNIDO Bank Information Form
- The applicant must abide by the UNIDO Policy on Exclusion from Funding and UNIDO Policy on the Protection of Personal Data, by completing and signing the UNIDO Statement of Confirmation form.
- The applicant must accept the UNIDO model grant agreement and general conditions of agreement, or, in case of potential alteration, these must be indicated and included in the grant proposal, otherwise it will not be considered at the later stage. Any comments/alterations with regard to the model agreement, the General Conditions and related other annexes must be clearly indicated in the proposal. Feasibility/acceptability of such comments/alterations will be considered during the evaluation.
