Telematics Trust is pleased to announce the Supporting Innovative Technology in Education grant to transform lives through education and training for the cultural, social and economic benefit of Victorians.
Mission
- The Telematics Trust is committed to funding initiatives that support this vision by demonstrating innovative use of technology through education and training.
- The Trust funds initiatives that use technology to reach diverse and disadvantaged groups and address important practical problems and social issues in the community and environment. These initiatives demonstrate the innovative use of technology through education and learning, and they aim to measurably improve the well-being of the community and environment.
- The Trust provides unique funding opportunities to individuals, Educational Institutions, Government, Business, social enterprises and Not-for-Profit organisations.
Funding Information
- The Telematics Trust supports organisations and individuals with one-off grants of up to $50,000 to invest in an innovative project or initiative in line with its vision and mission.
- Grant duration: Single Grants.
Who can apply?
- Applicants must be based in Victoria for the benefit of Victoria and Victorians. There may also be a broader benefit to Australians arising from the project or initiative.
- Applicants can include:
- individuals
- educational institutes
- government
- business
- non-profit organisations
Eligibility Criteria
- The Telematics Trust can only accept applications from organisations or individuals that have an Australian Business Number and are based in Victoria.
- All projects must:
- be based in Victoria and be for the benefit of Victoria and Victorians. There may also be a broader benefit to Australians arising from the project or initiative.
- be education and/or training driven and market oriented
- have a significant commitment of support from the applicant
- organisation, which may include in-kind or monetary contributions
Ineligible
- projects that are >50% infrastructural and/or equipment
- recurring, permanent salaries, however the Trust will fund salaries for special purpose projects
- projects that merely translate curriculum materials from one medium to another eg digitalisation of resources
- in-person workshops/training/professional development
- core organisational costs
- projects lacking innovation. Innovation is defined as a new idea, device or method and is in reference to technology (e.g Artificial intelligence, augmented reality, machine learning, nanotechnology)
- the same project more than once
- Telematics Trust will not accept applications for the same project more than once. An applicant that has multiple departments or faculties (i.e. Universities) may apply with more than one application per grant round; however, each application must be from a different department or faculty.
