Adaptation and Resilience ClimAccelerator in Tanzania 2026–2027

Deadline: July 12, 2026

The Climate KIC is seeking a Tanzania-registered delivery partner to implement the Adaptation & Resilience ClimAccelerator in Tanzania for the 2026–2027 grant cycle.

The programme focuses on climate-resilient food and water systems, coastal and blue resilience, and health and human resilience. It aims to support high-potential Tanzanian start-ups through mentorship, business development, adaptation impact validation, financial and investor readiness support, ecosystem connections, and pathways for scaling locally led climate adaptation solutions.

The programme includes a separate budget of €95,000 for direct grants to start-ups and solution deployment. Only Tanzania-registered organisations are eligible to apply. Consortia may also apply, but the lead applicant must be legally registered in Tanzania and have operational capacity within the country. The selected organisation or consortium should have legal registration in Tanzania and the ability to contract with Climate KIC, along with a strong operational presence and delivery team in the country.

Applicants should demonstrate experience supporting start-ups, entrepreneurs, MSMEs, or innovation programmes in Tanzania, along with strong knowledge of the country’s climate adaptation and resilience context. They should have relevant networks across Tanzania’s entrepreneurship, investment, NGO, academic, public sector, or climate ecosystems and experience delivering accelerator, incubation, investment-readiness, or enterprise support programmes.

The organisation or consortium should also have experience working in climate adaptation, agriculture, water, coastal resilience, blue economy, health, clean energy, WASH, or related sectors. They must have the capacity to deliver programmes in both English and Swahili, manage grants, mentors, events, and reporting processes, maintain strong financial, operational, and project management systems, and demonstrate commitment to gender equality, diversity, and inclusion.
