The Investment Readiness programme led by Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P) and the IYBA WE4A project supports women entrepreneurs in strengthening their business structures and preparing for investment opportunities.
The programme focuses on investment readiness, access to debt, and access to capital for women-led businesses in green and transition sectors. The programme has a funding amount of €3.5 million and is structured around three components.
The programme offers six months of tailored training and webinars, individual mentoring by experts, support for investment readiness and financial structuring, and access to a network of African investors and partners.
The Access to Debt track supports women entrepreneurs who do not have access to credit through an average loan amount of €22,000, provided through a dedicated loan guarantee mechanism combined with technical assistance.
The Access to Capital track provides reimbursable financing averaging €52,000 at zero interest and without collateral, along with technical assistance to support business growth and prepare entrepreneurs for equity investment.
Eligibility criteria for Track 1 include early-stage businesses, willingness to formalise, and plans to raise funds. Track 2 is open to MSMEs without access to credit, with annual turnover below €50,000 and a fundraising project. Track 3 is designed for growing ventures with strong traction, annual turnover above €50,000 and below €500,000, and a fundraising project.
Women-led or women co-led early-stage businesses operating in green and transition sectors in Cameroon, Senegal, Togo, or Uganda can apply for the programme if they are ready to formalise their structure and grow their impact.
