The PHC Bosphore is a Franco-Turkish Hubert Curien Partnership program designed to support scientific and technological cooperation between research teams.
The program focuses on developing scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between research laboratories, encouraging new collaborations, promoting the participation of young researchers, doctoral students, and post-doctoral researchers, strengthening cooperation and complementarity between research teams, and supporting projects with structuring, enhancement, and European networking potential. All scientific fields, including humanities and social sciences, are covered under this open call.
The PHC Bosphore program is implemented in France by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space. The initiative primarily supports seed-stage collaborations intended to establish long-term partnerships between institutions and researchers.
The call for applications is open to tenured researchers working in laboratories linked to higher education institutions or research organizations. Companies may also participate in projects if they are associated with an academic partner. Applications must be jointly submitted by partner researchers to the relevant authorities in their respective countries.
Projects previously supported under this program are not eligible for immediate reapplication after completion, as priority is given to new collaborations. Applicants are advised to review the specific funding and selection requirements applicable to participating partners.
Projects will be evaluated based on scientific quality, the expertise of participating teams, the active involvement of young researchers, the added value of international cooperation, and the future potential for project development and networking. Projects with a European dimension or those linked to broader research networks may receive additional consideration.
