The Seedbed TeamUp programme is offering to support business professionals in creating agrifood startups by matching them with technical co-founders and offering funding and mentorship.
The programme focuses on agrifood innovation, startup creation, co-founder matchmaking, entrepreneurship, technology commercialisation, market validation, customer development, business strategy, mentorship, networking, funding support, collaborative team building, and impactful agrifood technologies aligned with EIT Food missions and themes.
Seedbed TeamUp is a six-month online programme designed to connect technology innovators with entrepreneurial business professionals across Europe. The programme aims to help participants co-create innovative agrifood startups by forming strong multidisciplinary founding teams.
Participants receive support through matchmaking with technical co-founders, expert guidance, mentorship, networking opportunities, training, and funding assistance. The programme is fully online, allowing participants to join from anywhere in Europe.
Selected teams will advance to a 12-week Exploration phase where each team receives a stipend of 6,000 EUR to support activities such as customer development interviews, technology exploration, and market validation. Teams also receive one-to-one coaching from experts in the food and agriculture sector along with specialised training to strengthen entrepreneurial and technical skills.
At the end of the Exploration phase, participating teams present their business proposals to an independent panel of experts. Four projects will receive additional prizes of 40,000 EUR, 25,000 EUR, 15,000 EUR, and 10,000 EUR to support the launch of their businesses. Participants selected for the programme will also receive a stipend of 3,000 EUR each to work on their projects.
The programme is open to individuals with experience in business, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, market research, business development, digital marketing, finance, fundraising, and business strategy. Applicants should demonstrate strong motivation, collaborative skills, and the ability to lead the business and commercial development of innovative agrifood solutions. Participants must also commit at least 10 hours per week to the programme from the end of May until mid-November 2026.
