Applications are open for Steward Leadership 25 (SL25), an annual award that celebrates 25 financially self sustaining solutions for society and the environment.
Now in its fourth iteration, SL25 has celebrated 75 impact stories and continues to showcase more solutions that do well by doing good.
SL25 is jointly created by Stewardship Asia Centre, the INSEAD Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society, WTW and The Straits Times.

Which solutions qualify?
- Impact made between 1 October 2022 and 23 October 2024
- Financially sustainable
- Implemented in Asia and the Pacific
- Primarily owned, managed and implemented by your organisation
- Previous SL25 winners can submit new solutions or past winning solutions that showed significant new process.
Judging Criteria
- SL25 awards financially self-sustaining solutions for the environment and society. Winning solutions exemplify steward leadership excellence.
- Purpose
- The solution is fully aligned with the organisation’s purpose and stewardship values.
- Impact
- The solution transformed the state of the environment, community, or society. The solution’s impact is disproportionately large to the organisation’s scale of operations.
- Going beyond regulations
- The solution shows evidence of going beyond regulations or industry standards. Evidence of speed, geographical reach and stakeholder impact are shown. Regulations or industry standards are clearly articulated.
- Financial Sustainability
- The solution shows evidence of a financially self-sustaining model that allows it to persist and scale without further capital injection.
- Innovation
- The solution is groundbreaking in its industry or country in providing a financially self-sustaining solution to an environmental/social problem.
- Future plans
- The solution states its short- and long-term goals. The goals stated are SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound. There are actionable plans and steps that the organisation states they will work towards.
