LifeX Accelerator Program 2024 (United States)

Applications are now open for the LifeX Accelerator program for early stage ventures commercializing a technology in digital health, medical devices, or therapeutics.

The Program

  • Specialized Content
    • Specifically tailored for early-stage healthcare and life science spin outs
    • Intentional focus on preparing an investable commercialization plan
  • Hands On Support
    • Dedicated mentor with company specific expertise as a guide through the program
    • Dedicated intern providing project support
    • 1 on 1 office hours support with experts
  • Access to a Broad & Diverse Network
    • Program speakers and contributors include 40+ experts across multiple institutions, geographies, and industries
    • Promotion of participating companies to LifeX’s broader network

Outcomes

  • Funding: Follow on funding through SBIRs, PHDA, and other private investment
  • Acceptance: Acceptance into subsequent accelerator programs including AlphaLab Health, IndieBio, Creative Destruction Labs
  • Partnerships: Continued partnerships with regulatory, reimbursement, data privacy, & strategy services introduced through LifeX
  • Talent Acquisition: Talent acquisition of team members introduced through Accelerator programming

Participant Profile

  • Committed to commercializing a technology in the pharma, medical device, diagnostic or digital health space
  • Have a proof of concept or validated the underlying scientific feasibility
  • On the path to securing or licensing the necessary IP rights to commercialize
  • Preferentially have already completed some basic business programming and customer discovery
  • Have a founder committed to joining the company in an operational capacity in the future
  • Program does not require a legal business entity be formed, but anticipate so in the near future
  • At least one member of the founding team is able to spend a minimum of 6-8 hours per week participating in programming and dedicated work efforts for the duration of the accelerator program.
