The DST-iTBI NIT Agartala incubation programme is inviting applications from startups to receive incubation support and ignition grant assistance for innovation development and growth.
The focus areas include incubation support for startups, mentorship and training, access to co-working space and infrastructure, technology readiness level enhancement, fundraising opportunities, innovation development, and financial support through ignition grants.
The programme aims to help startups and innovators strengthen their innovations, improve their technology readiness levels, and secure funding opportunities. Participants will also have access to fundraising support through the incubation centre.
The ignition grant support ranges from a minimum of ₹2 lakh to a maximum of ₹5 lakh. The selection process consists of three stages, including primary screening, a minimum six-month incubation programme, and final selection for ignition grant support based on performance and satisfaction.
Following the primary screening process, up to 20 startups will be provided incubation support. After completing three months of the incubation programme, up to 10 startups may receive ignition grant support based on merit.
Incubated startups will receive access to co-working space, mentorship, training, and infrastructure support. Registered startups may remain eligible for programme benefits for up to three years, including continued access to incubation services and financial support.
Certain activities and proposals are not eligible for support under the programme. These include payments to the grantee or relatives, repayment of existing loans, creation of permanent infrastructure or property, support for unrelated professional pursuits, pure software development projects, e-commerce and app-based solutions, academic research funding, student internships, projects beyond the prototype stage, and startups that exceed the specified age or turnover limits.+
