The European Cluster Collaboration Platform has launched its applications to support manufacturing and energy SMEs in developing innovative projects that contribute to sustainability and the transition towards Net-Zero technologies.
The focus areas of the call include Electricity Grid Technologies, Energy System-Related Energy Efficiency Technologies, and Transformative Industrial Technologies leading to Decarbonisation. The initiative seeks to support projects that develop new-to-firm products, services, or processes, drive business process innovation linked to technological adoption, and improve overall energy efficiency.
The call will fund at least ten projects, with a maximum grant of €100,000 per project. An individual SME may receive up to €60,000 in funding. Supported activities include technology development and prototyping at TRL 6–8, pilot testing and validation in operational environments, demonstration activities, integration of Net-Zero technologies into manufacturing processes, and business process innovation directly linked to adoption.
To be eligible, applicants must form a consortium consisting of at least two SMEs located in two different EU Member States or countries associated with the SMP-COSME programme. The participating SMEs must belong to two different sectors under NACE codes C, D, J, or M, with proven activities related to manufacturing. Larger companies and universities may participate in the consortium but will not receive funding. Only SMEs are eligible to receive financial support through the programme.
