The focus areas include raw materials innovation, sustainable mining, mineral processing, recycling technologies, circular economy solutions, resource substitution, industrial innovation, product and service development, business model innovation, and strengthening regional innovation ecosystems.
The programme aims to strengthen Europe’s raw materials value chain by supporting innovation projects that develop new technologies, products, services, and business models. It is designed to enhance local innovation ecosystems, build capacity, and support the launch of scalable solutions across participating regions.
Projects under this call are expected to focus on exploration, sustainable mining, processing, circularity, recycling, and substitution activities. The project duration is typically one to two years, with co-funding requirements depending on technology readiness levels and project type.
Funding support may reach up to EUR 500,000 in the first phase and an additional EUR 300,000 to EUR 500,000 in the second phase, with total funding not exceeding EUR 1,000,000 over the project lifecycle.
